This is a round trip, by private car from Bucharest, with transfer time of two or more hours, depending on the traffic conditions. The distance between Bucharest and Ruse is about 90 km and after crossing the border and the Danube river you will arrive in Ruse and in Bulgaria.
Enjoy a walk in the pedestrian aria of the beautiful center of Ruse, famous with its baroque and neoclassicism buildings, fountains and parks. Recharge your body with delicious lunch in one of the local taverns in order to have more power to explore the Rock-hewn Churches of Ivanovo. The transfer time from Ruse to the village of Ivanovo is about 30 min.
Upon arrival, be prepared to climb up the steep stairs to the church. The main church is small with partially preserved beautiful frescoes. From the hill top enjoy the beautiful view of the Rusenski Lom Nature Park. The Monastery complex of Ivanovo is included in the UNESCO world heritage list, thankful to its valuable frescoes dating back 11-14th century.
In the late afternoon your driver will return you back to Bucharest.
