The Seven Rila Lakes Hiking Guided Tour

The tour starts from your hotel in Sofia at 07:00 in the morning, followed by 2 hours driving to Panichishte, where you will take the chair lift. After 15 min you will arrive at the spot where your hiking start.

The Seven Rila Lakes are situated in the highest mountain on the Balkans – Rila (2925 m), between 2,100 and 2,500 m above sea level. All of the seven lakes has their own name which reflects its typical shape or characteristics. Some of their names are: the Tear – the highest one; the Eye is the deepest one; the Kidney is perfect for a picnic; the Twin is the largest one, etc.

Kindly note, that availability of this tour depends on the weather conditions and the operation of the chairlift.
The terrain sometimes could be very wet and slippery and even in May there might be some snow therefore adequate equipment (good trekking boots, waterproof clothes and a warm jacket) is a must condition.

The chair lift used for the hike to The Seven Rila Lakes is owned by another company and in case of suspended operation an alternative hike will be offered on spot by the guide. Mind that such a situation does not make you eligible for a refund.
