Early in the morning departure to Koprivshtitsa
the town of unique cobblestone alleys, National Revival houses painted in
bright colours, old bridges and many monuments. Interesting Museum houses are Lyuben karavelov
Museum, Oslekov's House,
Lyutov House, Georgy benkovski's house and many others. Very interesting is the
church of Uspenie Bogorodichno which has a legend
history. The lunch will be in a local restaurant in Koprivshtitsa and after it
we will depart to Plovdiv.
Upon arrival the visit will start with Roman
Theatre, continued by the walking trip
in the old town of Plovdiv.
Dinner in one of the local taverns and overnight in Plovdiv.
After the breakfast departure from Plovdiv to Kazanlak - the
capital of rose oil extraction and Thracian Rulers. Our visit will start with
one of the UNESCO Bulgarian treasures - the Thracian Tomb of Kazanlak (4th century B.C.). The next stop is the Rose
Museum famous with its exhibition
and where you could buy valuable goods of rose, rose water and souvenirs. Lunch
in Kazanlak and departure to Veliko Tarnovo. En route visit the remarkable
Thracian tomb of Golyama Kosmatka and the Birth
of Christ's Memorial
Church, built in memory
of the Russian and Bulgarian solders, died in the Russo-Turkish War of Liberation (1877-1878).
Arrival in Veliko Tarnovo in the late afternoon, accommodation at the
hotel, dinner and overnight.
In the morning our trip will start with the visit of the house with the
Monkey, Samovodska Charshia Architectural and Ethnographic Complex and the
Tsarevets Architectural-Museum Reserve where the remains of the Second
Bulgarian kingdom (12-14th century) are exhibited.
The lunch will be in a tavern in Arbanasi
which history begins in the 15th century. Here we will visit one of the
famous monasteries of 17th century. In the afternoon departure to Sofia, upon arrival
accommodation at the hotel, dinner and overnight.
Early in the morning we depart to the Rila Monastery on of the UNESCO
remarkable monument founded in the 10th century. The lunch will be
in a restaurant situated near the route back to Sofia. In the afternoon we will visit another
UNESCO monument the Boyana
Church built in 10-11th century and famous with its unique murals and frescoes. After this visit there
will be some free time in Sofia,
dinner and overnight.
6. Day - FULL DAY SOFIA
After the breakfast the program will begin with walking tour in the center
of Sofia starting with the St. Alexander Nevski
Memorial Temple, the St. Sofia Church, the Bulgarian National Assembly, the monument of Alexander II
- the Russian Emperor, the Russian St. Nicholaus the Miracle Worker church, the
National Theatre, the Presidency, the church of St.
Petka (14-15th century), the St. George Rotunda (4th century),
the Banya bashu mosque, the statue of St. Sofia and others. After the lunch you
will have free afternoon for shopping and walking around.
7. Day - DEPARTURE
After the breakfast you will be transferred to the Sofia airport for your connecting flight and
end of our program.
