If you want to understand Bulgarian people you will need to take a quick look into their history, traditions and culture. Bulgaria has considered by historians to be one of the oldest countries in Europe to survive to our times - it has existed for more than 1300 years.


Cultural heritage of Bulgaria protected by UNESCO consists of 7 historical places and 2 national parks - reserves.

Recently the Bulgarian traditional fire dancing (nestinari) has been declared a part of the world's cultural intangible heritage by the UNESCO.The first item however included in the list of intangible cultural heritage is the unique contribution to the world (folklore and songs) of "Bistritsa Babi (Grannies)".

Regardless of its small size, Bulgaria possesses an amasing variety in altitude and water.
In the south is the Rila-Rodope Massif: Rila (with the highest Balkan peak, Musala - 2925 m), Pirin (the most alpine of Bulgaria's mountains and part of UNESCO heritage) and the Rodopes (famous with the interesting folklore, traditions and customs).


The Balkan Mountains are type of east-west line separating Bulgaria's territory on two parts - north (the Danube Plain) and south (Sredna Gora Mountain, the Rose valley and Thracian Lowlands).


The landscape of Bulgaria gives tourists in the summer possibility to enjoy mountaineering marches and cycling tours, horse riding, hunting and fishing tourism, jeep safari, extreme climbing down to the caves, rafting. In the winter period you could enjoy winter sports as skiing and snowboards. The ski season lasts from December to April. The ski slopes are suitable for beginners as well as more advanced skiers.


Bulgaria has more than 600 mineral springs, half of which are warm or hot (up to 103 C). Near the mineral spring a lot of wonderful resorts offer tourists excellent remedial programs as balneological procedures, physiotherapy, kinesitherapy and rehabilitation, mud-care and lye therapy.

 

The capital of Bulgaria Sofia is situated in the west part of the country and now is the largest demographic, trade, political, cultural and educational center.

The Black Sea coast is 378 km long and seaside with varies from 1 to 25 km. In the summer period (May - September) the Black Sea resorts, towns and villages offer guests amazing conditions for rest, entertainment, extreme sports, yachting and fishing. One of the biggest resorts?are Albena, Golden Sands, St. Konstantin and Elena, Sunny Beach, Nessabar (included in the UNESCO heritage), Pomorie, Sozopol. Here important administrative, economic and cultural centers, the largest Bulgarian seaports and with international airports are Varna and Burgas.


The climate of Bulgaria is Temperate Continental, with Black Sea influence in the east and a Mediterranean influence in the south. The average January temperature is from -2C to +2C down to -10C, while the average July temperature is 25-35C. We have four seasons - winter, spring, summer and autumn.

 

Bulgarian cuisine and wine attract tourists all over the world; we offer sea and ski tourism, cultural and historical tourism, congress and business tourism, eco- and village tourism, hunting and fishing tourism and finally but not last tourism and program according to your wishes.
